To satisfy those dreams for my customers is the best feeling, just watching their bodies and emotions as they step into their brand-new custom home is priceless.

REAL LIFE EXAMPLES
Custom Home Building
4000 sq. ft. Mountain Home.
One custom home I developed was around 4,000 square feet up in the mountains with a full basement made into a big Romper Room. It was out in the forest with a large wood burning stove big shop with a large, beautiful fireplace. Huge open living room 24-foot ceilings, beautiful woodwork, and windows overlooking the valley down towards Qualicum Beach.
The kitchen drawings were sent back and forth between the client and me until they were happy with everything. There is a large staircase to the top floor to the kid’s rooms. It was a large piece of land with a drilled private well and septic fields. It was nice to experience building outside city limits.
I have done a lot of different homes with septic fields and installing water pumps, which is totally different from just hooking up the basic water lines you find in city homes.
1800 sq. ft. Rancher.
Another custom home was an 1800 square foot Rancher for an elderly couple though it was not as spacious, it was a good utilization of the room available.
I did a few of the spec homes in the Fairwinds, they were more like fancy Custom Homes. Spec houses are just me buying land, building a house, and putting it up on the market. It turned out that at the drywalling stage one of the spec houses actually became a custom home for some buyers, and thankfully they still had enough time at that point to pick out different paint colours and finishes for the interior so the house was customized to their personal liking.
The current house I am building is a very high-end and expensive home. With a very elaborate walkway to the front, four different areas of very beautiful timber work throughout, it is an extremely unique design. When it is completely done it is going to be the focal point on that street for sure very unique and complex, it is sure to be one of a kind.

Every custom home I build is fun and challenging in many different ways, really pushing me to my limits and constantly helping me to set new ones each and every time.
I very much enjoy working with all the different people and helping them make their dream home a reality. I can honestly say without any doubt that I truly love my job, everything about it, and I wouldn’t change it if ever given the chance, though it can be trying at times, to me there is no greater feeling of accomplishment than seeing people move into their dream house and being a part of the process from start to finish and seeing the look on someone’s face as their dreams take shape and they watch the drawings come to life, to me that makes it all worth it!
